This did'nt end up the way I wanted it to. But that's partly because I'm down with the flu. When I started on this illo, I was sick and determined (not to miss a week of illo fri) and now that I'm done I'm just sick and weary.
Version One was before the cold medicine. Version Two is after the cold medicine - when I decided the previous version was'nt vibrant enough.

wow i want some of that what is it called lol. i like both the expressions are great. hope ur feeling better
I assume version two is the bottom one. I like it better. The addition of the color in the form of birds does make it more vibrant. I also like the border better.

Wow...that cold medicine is strong enough to grow flowers! I need some for my garden:> You know, I like them both. They each work very well. I love that jungle girl...she looks like she's having the best time:>
Hope your feeling better. They are awesome I agree with everyone; although the first is good the second is better.
i think it's a wonderful illo. i disagree with you - to me the first version looks better. i don't think that the details you added are needed here, the focus is on the girl and the monkey, and that free and sketchy style is very pretty.
